MARTEK regularly carries out renewal of wasted inner chamber of Inert Gas Generator units during Vessel’s voyage by deploying flying squads. The outer flange of IGG housing is carefully separated from outer shell and the inner wasted chamber is lifted clear. By grinding off the cut-out edges the flange is then attached to the new combustion chamber and welded by TIG welding. Repair process is carried out as per Class approved procedures. Entire assembly is pressure tested prior commissioning the unit. Down time for repairs – 6/8 days depending upon ridding team size.
