31MTRS. length Jib of vessel’s 25 SWL Crane fell on to hatch coaming and bullwark after tie wire parted off. The Jib arms in three broken parts brought down to our Mumbai Workshop. Jib arms and ties center lines of the entire jib in fully built up form lofted on the lofting ground. Undamaged portions of the jib released from the damaged sections. ‘I’ section skid for the entire length fabricated. Damaged section Lengths formed and lined up with undamaged length to build up entire length of Jib as per original drawing and welded in entire entity. Jib transported to the vessel and joined to the base flanges on cranes revolving tables. Wires rigged up and crane jib load test carried as per International Test Codes.
